This opportunity is for an independent provider interested in working in our clinic (not as an employee of the company).

The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine, LLC (CFWH) provides management and consulting services to healthcare providers in the area of wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Job Overview:

The Physician will provide direct medical care in an outpatient setting to hyperbaric and wound care patients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, timely and appropriate interviewing, examination, intervention, patient education and comprehensive coordination of care; contributions to growth of program by developing and managing successful physician referral relationships; and all required administrative responsibilities, including documentation. The successful candidate will have experience with wound care. Hyperbaric experience preferred, but not required.

This opportunity is for a provider interested in working in our outpatient wound and hyperbaric clinic independently (not as an employee of the Company).

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Supports the Medical Director and Program Director with the day-to-day operations of the wound care and hyperbaric center.
  • Consults, examines, identifies and manages patients who could benefit from wound care and/or hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
  • Treats wound care patients on-site as scheduled during agreed upon shifts.
  • Supports and participates in scheduled hyperbaric medicine coverage.
  • Keeps complete and accurate records pertaining to the indications, rationale and progress of patient treatments.
  • Manages patient emergencies which may occur before, during, or after treatments while the patient is in the wound care or hyperbaric medicine areas.
  • Maintains communication with referring medical providers.
  • Conducts appropriate patient discharge, follow up and onward referrals.
  • Assists in the continuing education of all levels of clinical staff.
  • Participates in community outreach programs to contribute to the growth of the clinic.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements for This Role:

  • Certified M.D. or D.O. possessing a valid diploma from an accredited medical school.
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state where the physician will be practicing. (Some government agencies may be exempt.)
  • Board certified or board eligible in a recognized medical or surgical specialty.
  • 3+ years of experience in wound care and/or hyperbaric medicine.
  • 3+ years of experience documenting in an Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Current BLS or ACLS as required by local medical bylaws and credentialing policies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to become fully credentialed by hospital partner without restrictions.
  • Proof of malpractice insurance.

  • Ability to comply with HIPAA policies and procedures.

Desired Qualifications for This Role:

  • Completion of a 40-credit hour, UHMS-Approved Hyperbaric Medicine introductory course.
  • Board certification in undersea and hyperbaric medicine.

Travel:

This position requires ground travel only.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by a Physician to successfully perform the essential competencies, duties, and requirements of this position. These include standing, walking, driving, lifting up to 50 pounds and sitting for extended periods of time and looking at a computer screen for extended periods of time. In addition, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting and shifting heavy objects, as well as air travel, may be required. Employees should ask for assistance if needed.
