Job Description

Field Service Engineer supporting the the Fremont, San Francisco, California area. Travel: Up to 75 to 80% Role Summary: As a key member of the Field Service Engineering team, this role supports high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and decommissioning of complex imaging systems. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and integrate Digital Radiography systems, including electrical, mechanical, software, and network components. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs; document all service activity. Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards. Coordinate service with third-party vendors; review and validate service outcomes. Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions using diagnostics, schematics, and test equipment. Support incident investigations involving patient or employee safety and document findings. Maintain accurate service records in centralized systems and ensure up-to-date documentation. Assist with in-service training and cross-train new team members. Stay current with technology advancements and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years’ experience servicing radiological imaging equipment (digital and analog) in clinical environments. Associate degree in Biomedical, Electronic, or Computer Service Technology, or equivalent military/technical training. Must meet hospital credentialing requirements.
